A TTC Bus, originally uploaded by torontodailyphoto.
I probably don’t need to add much of a description to this picture, beyond the title of the post. This is a standard Toronto Transit Commission, or TTC, bus – one of the newer energy efficient hybrid models that are increasingly common on the city roads.
For locals this may not be a terribly unique image, but I have always been fascinated in the varied transit and urban sign colour schemes of different cities, so I thought it might be of interest to non-Torontonian visitors.

It looks like its a low-floor bus. Great news for those on wheels and a move on from the old style three giants steps up busses
Good eye, Chris, it is a low-floor bus – they’re becoming fairly standard around the city. Moreover, this one is called a “kneeling” bus because the driver can lower it even closer to the ground for those who have difficulty with steps.
