A normal summer day in the city, looking South along Spadina, at Queen Street. I especially like the architecture of the Lettieri cafe on the corner.
You wouldn’t know it to see it now, but during the G20 Summit here in Toronto this intersection was the site of significant unrest and mass arrests.

This statue, the “Winged Goddess of Victory” stands atop the Prince’s Gate – the main enterance to the Exhibition Place, home of the annual Canadian National Exhibition (CNE).
The landmark was officially opened by the Princes George and Edward in 1927.
These silver planters line the outside of a new condo development on Charlotte St., just off Spadina. They are an interesting feature, lined along the sidewalk, though I’m not certain if the current foliage is meant to be a type of ornamental grass, or whether weeds have simply taken over.
Sadie’s Diner on Adelaid and Portland is a study in blue. A popular vegetarian lunch place for local workers and the condo dwellers of the Fashon District.
Sitting at my desk this afternoon, I couldn’t help but notice an unusual object slowly circling around in the skies above. This MetLife blimp must have been waiting for the ability to land at a nearby field, because it must have gone around for about half an hour in the same course, until I lost sight of it.
